Torino have cleared defender Gabriele Cioffi to Serie B Ascoli.
The experienced stopper joins Ascoli in a permanent deal. Former Torino teammate Angelo Ogbonna has also dropped into Serie B with Crotone in a loan agreement.

Arsenal Chief Observer for Italy Tony Banfield has denied that his club are observing Torino 20 year old Angelo Obinze Ogbonna and Lazio 21 year old Modibo Diakité. The English agent has sublined that he has not scheduled to go to Rome to observe the young Lazio defender in the game against Juventus.

Pierluigi Casiraghi has named the all-new Under-21 squad to face Russia with nine debutants, including Federico Macheda.
The Azzurrini are renewed every two years and begin another era with a friendly in St Petersburg on August 12.
Macheda has been a sensation at Manchester United since his move from the Lazio youth system and received a call for the Under-21 side.
He has performed for Italy at the Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level, but the striker – who turns 18 later this month – leapfrogs straight into the Under-21 side.
In all there are nine new faces in Casiraghi’s picks, including those ‘promoted’ from the Under-20 team like Mattia Mustacchio, Matteo Gentili and Cristian Tiboni.
The squad will meet in Rome on Sunday and fly out to Russia for the match on Wednesday August 12, kick-off 14.00 UK time at the Petrovsky Stadium.
